What is BBYO?

B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (or BBYO) is a Jewish teen movement, organized into 501 nonprofit chapters across not only America but the entire world. The goal of BBYO is to connect Jewish teens and allow them to build their identity while offering leadership development programs needed in the future. 

What is SJR?

BBYO has so many teens, in so many chapters all around the world. SJR is the South Jersey Region that contains BBG Chapters, like Shemesh, AZA Chapters and even Co-Ed Chapters. SJR has 20,794 members and continues to grow each year. 

What is Shemesh?

Shemesh translate to Sun in Hebrew, we are all bright sparks in the world of SJR. Shemesh was founded on May 20th, 2017 and we've been going strong since then!!! Don't forget that our mascot is Sunny the Penguin.
